OG Percy talks about life being bars for the prison staff. He observed that eventually the CO became just like the inmates they oversee. They are daily battles between the CO’s and the inmates over respect and power. Respect is currency for a CO. OG Percy shares a story about a respected CO and an inmate’s altercation that sparked from a power struggle between the two.
“Once the law loses their respect there, they lose their job.”
